Innovative Techniques
Inspired by the doctrines of Taoism and the “flow state”, she has found her obsession in working with the material resin whose fluidity allows her to let go of any preconceptions and thought processes while creating. The artwork “Nepenthes” (Nov 2021, 55 x 85) is part of the eponymous series – a homage to Homer ’s Odyssey, figuratively meaning „that which chases away sorrow“.
Artistic Vision
HANNA MARE is an emerging artist from Northern Germany. Inspired by the doctrines of Taoism, her series METAMORPHOSIS is an interpretation of the Five Elements of Tao – a conceptual scheme, rooted in traditional Chinese culture, which was used to explain phenomena and to describe transformations of nature.

Daoism states that there is nothing in the cosmos that is fixed: Everything is subject to change and in this way the Dao can awaken inside us by adapting to that change, development and growth which makes up this phenomenal world.
